GENESIS:  Summer school 2001 -  Summer-school administration was a rather interesting process.   Students registered at multiple locations throughout  the city and results were tallied and processed into course lists and timetables.  This process lead to staff hiring.  The students lined up for blocks waiting to register.  It took days to work through all the paper!    Enter INKWELL!

Students now register at one of many web-enabled registration centres in the district.  Administrators view (in real time) the growth of classes and schools as it happens.   New courses are added in response to student demand.  And on the first day of summer school. . .  all students have a place to be!

Since 2001, INKWELL has grown in many ways to accomodate all of the administrative needs of principals, staff, students and parents.
